We are looking for passionate, experienced professionals to join our Volunteer Advisory Board — a diverse group of mentors, strategists, and connectors who guide our growth and help us amplify impact.

Advisory Board Role & Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the Executive Director and leadership team.

    • Review and offer feedback on programs, fundraising, and growth initiatives.

    • Help open doors to partnerships, funding, and community networks.

    • Attend quarterly advisory meetings (virtual or in-person).

    • Serve as ambassadors for Heal the World within your networks.

Fundraising & Communications Director (Volunteer)

Location: Kelowna, BC or Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible, volunteer basis
Reports To: Executive Director

About the Role:

The Fundraising & Communications Director ensures Heal the World stays visible and financially supported. You’ll lead donor engagement, create inspiring campaigns, and share our mission through powerful storytelling.

This is a volunteer position initially, with the intention to convert to a paid role as the organization grows and secures sustainable funding.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead fundraising campaigns, events, and sponsorship outreach.

    • Research and write grants; maintain donor relationships.

    • Oversee social media, newsletters, and website updates.

    • Build community and media partnerships.

    • Create compelling content to inspire donations and volunteer support.

Skills & Qualities:

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and branding.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication.

    • Creativity in campaign and content creation.

    • Experience (or strong interest) in fundraising and outreach.

Programs & Impact Director (Volunteer)

About the Role:

As our Programs & Impact Director, you’ll bring Heal the World’s mission to life by leading and delivering our core programs — from community wellness circles to environmental action days. You’ll oversee program design, coordinate volunteers, and ensure every initiative creates meaningful impact.

This is a volunteer position initially, with the intention to convert to a paid role as the organization grows and secures sustainable funding.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead, coordinate, and deliver programs in key areas: Wellness, Indigenous & Cultural Healing, Planetary Healing, Youth Empowerment, and Spiritual Awakening.

    • Recruit, guide, and support program volunteers.

    • Oversee event planning, logistics, and community engagement.

    • Collect impact stories, photos, and participant feedback for reports and outreach.

    • Align program activities with the organization’s mission and resources.

Skills & Qualities:

    • Flexible, resourceful, and independent.

    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

    • Confident in managing teams and projects.

    • Passion for community service, healing, and sustainability.

The Operations & Volunteer Management Director ensures Heal the World runs smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll manage our volunteer team, coordinate resources, and maintain the systems that make our mission possible.

This is a volunteer position initially, with the intention to convert to a paid role as the organization grows and secures sustainable funding.

Responsibilities:

    • Oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention.

    • Keep schedules, calendars, and project timelines up to date.

    • Support financial tracking and donation records.

    • Maintain organizational tools (Google Drive, Trello, Slack).

    • Ensure compliance with basic nonprofit policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualities:

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • People-focused leadership style.

    • Ability to improve systems and processes.

    • Comfort with basic online tools and administration
